HENRY IRIBE

Classes
Toddlers, Kids, Adults

Henry started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2008, and is currently a 1st degree black belt. He was one of the founding members of 1802 Jiu-Jitsu (then Stronghold Rancho Bernardo), which at the time held classes at the local recreation center.

Henry has had great success in the BJJ competition scene. He has posted wins against IBJJF World Champions, is a Pan Am Champion, and has medaled in just about every major IBJJF tournament in both the adult and master divisions. Additionally, he has created numerous champions, both kids and adults , thanks in part to a technical and systemized approach to teaching.

However, Henry’s teaching philosophy does not just focus on winning competitions, but on personal growth through the art of Jiu-Jitsu. It is his belief that everyone is capable of excelling in Jiu-jitsu, provided they are in the right environment, are taught the correct way, and are willing to work hard.

When he is not training jiu-jitsu, Henry enjoys spending time with his wife and sons -- and playing way too many video games.
