JOSELYN ANDA
Classes
Kids and Adults
Joselyn started her jiu jitsu journey when she was 6 years old. She quickly advanced and started competing, being a pioneer for young girls. At this time there wasn’t many girls in the sport, so she would have to compete with boys. She was nicknamed “adrena”LYN” because of her explosive movements and energy.
Joselyn is now a blue belt and helps with most of the kids classes, and some of the adult classes. A fun fact about Joselyn is that she is born on the same day as her older sister and her first cousin.
Leslie Anda
Classes
Kids
Leslie was introduced to jiu jitsu by her brother, Professor Ric. After her youngest of four was born, she started training alongside her husband, Derryck. Training has become a daily family activity. She loves to see not just her family but other families enjoy themselves while learning the gentle art together. The fellow purple belt encourages females to step out of their comfort zone to step on the mat. You can often catch Leslie behind the scenes at the front desk or assisting in one of the kids classes. A fun fact about Leslie is that she is also a Massage Practitioner, hit her up for a massage ;)
Roderic Soriano
Classes
Kids and Adults
Roderic started training in 2011. He was introduced to BJJ by his uncle Ric and dad John. He loves the art of Jiu Jitsu because of its fascinating history, its practical use for people of smaller size, and because it is a great way to get or stay in shape. His goals as a coach is to spread the art of Jiu Jitsu, in doing this he understands that a fun and safe environment for students to learn is important. Rod’s other goal is to be a positive role model for the next generation. A fun fact about Rod: his go-to karaoke song is “I Want it That Way” by the Backstreet Boys.
